I. Introduction of MCEP Marcum County Center for Cultural and Economic Cooperation, Michigan, USA
Marcum County Center for Cultural and Economic Cooperation (MCEP), located in Markham County, Michigan, USA, is a a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting local officials, business, school and community leaders to understand the needs of the world economy and international cooperation. Every year, MCEP leads many local American officials, entrepreneurs and students who want to know more about China to visit China and learn about the current situation, opportunities and challenges of China as well as the daily life of Chinese people Meanwhile, each year MCEP also invites and hosts many government representatives, business representatives, academic representatives and university as well as high school student groups from China to help them understand the social system and customs of the United States through Shanghai Markham Education Technology Co., Ltd. Through bilateral visits, exchanges and cooperation, MCEP enables both China and the United States to expand their global horizons and promote the beneficial development of bilateral economy, culture and education.
Ⅱ. Introduction of MCEP “U.S. Court Internship Program in the Summer of 2018”
So far MCEP has established close ties with more than 30 universities in China. MCEP’s “Summer U.S. Court Internship Program” has become a key overseas program for many Chinese universities to engage in foreign legal personnel education and training. During the summer vacation of 2018, MCEP, together with Michigan State Legislature, courts and other relevant government departments, organized the "Summer US Court Internship Program" for universities in China. This program includes classroom teaching, internship, visiting, sightseeing, etc.
The introduction of the 2018 Program is as follows:
I, Time of Program
The total round trip is 19 days. Optional departure time can be: July 7, July 25, or August 11, 2018.
The departure time and return time of this summer vacation are respectively:
a, July 7 to July 25
b, July 25 to August 12
c, August 11 to August 29
II, Cost
1, Program Cost: USD3,080, including internship fee, accommodation (home stay + hotel), city transportation, golf training, and tour tickets.
2, Other self-care items: air tickets, visa fee, insurance fee, bank transfer fee and exchange rate difference, personal consumption, etc.
III, Number of Applicants
About 28 people per session
IV, Issue of Certificate
After the completion of the program, students can obtain the program completion certificate (internship certificate) issued by the American organizers.
V, Application Requirements
Undergraduate students, grades are not limited (undergraduate students, master students, doctoral students can all apply). Students should have a good command of English and be able to communicate fluently. Students can provide relevant English test certificates (e.g., TOEFL, TEM, IELTS, etc.) as reference for English proficiency.

VIII, Program Characteristics
1, the judges teach: The primary lecturers are Michigan Supreme Court justices, Michigan district court and circuit court judges. Students can gain an in-depth understanding of the U.S. judicial system and a rare opportunity to communicate face-to-face with senior judges.
2, Court Internship: Students will be interned in district and circuit courts and will receive an internship certificate at the end of the internship.
3, American Sports: Students will learn to play golf or baseball from a veteran coach beside St. Clair Lake, Michigan. The program provides all necessary equipment and venue
4, Cruise the big lake by yacht: a comfortable activity on the water; Cruise the world's largest freshwater lake on a yacht.
5, Live with American families: One of the highlights of the program is a one-week home stay. Students can live in ordinary American families, get close contact with ordinary Americans, quickly improve their English language skills and understand American culture.
6, Visit the University of Michigan: The university of Michigan in Ann Arbor is one of the top universities in the United States, and its law school ranks in the top eight all the time. Professors from the Law School of the University of Michigan will be invited to give lectures.
7, Visit the US Congress: Visit the U.S. Congress in Washington, D.C., and have a rare opportunity to meet face-to-face with the senators and key staff members.
