On October 10, after three days full of rigorous and intense training, the students gradually adapted to a full military training life. In addition to daily training, essay competition, blackboard newspaper competition, chorus competition and press release collection activities were also in full swing. The students in our school gave full play to their strengths in writing, painting and singing and actively participated in various activities, adding some pleasure to the tense and serious military training life.
On October 11, the main training items in the morning were arm swing and kick for parade step. Although the long-term fixed movements produced varying degrees of stiffness and soreness, the students overcame the difficulties and persisted in training, completing the morning training task well.
With the establishment of the temporary Party branch of the military training regiment, Teachers MA Liya and WANG Xingwen used their break time to introduce the Party's history and other knowledge to the 2018 freshmen in our school, and encouraged them to actively join the party organization. As of the 11th, our 2018 undergraduate students have submitted 53 applications for joining the Party and 53 ideological reports.
On the morning of October 12, all the participating teachers and students in our school carried out a 13-kilometer pull-up exercise according to the arrangement of the military training regiment. After leaving the military training base via the training ground, the training team walked 6 kilometers along the mountain road. Although the mountain road was long and dangerous, the students were still neat in appearance and strong in pace. After climbing over three hills one after another, the training team arrived at the Yuemingjian Parking Lot. After the rest for 15 minutes, the team continued to complete the training activities along the country road for 7 kilometers. During this period, leading Teachers MA Liya and WANG Xingwen accompanied the students to participate in the training. Through this exercise, the students of class of 2018 of our school have challenged themselves, strengthened their physique and will, and enhanced their cohesion.
In the afternoon, after long-distance pull-up exercise in the morning, the students only used the noon time to have a rest and then put into intensive training. During this period, the tug-of-war competition of the military training regiment was also held as scheduled. The students of our school participated in the competition with the spirit of solidarity and struggle. The company where the boys and girls of our school were located won the second and third place in the boy and girl groups, respectively.
On October 13, the training of step-by-step movement and coherent movement of parade step was accompanied by the training of special subjects. Boys and girls in our school were assigned to groups to perform jigsaw puzzles, and martial arts with stick and shield and grapple, respectively. The training of special subjects, not only enriched the military training life and enhanced students’ awareness of mutual cooperation, but also played a role in strengthening the physique.
On October 14, after intense queuing and special subject training in the morning, the choir competition of the military training regiment was beginning in the afternoon. The girl students' company in our school sang the song “"Ode to the Motherland” sweetly and melodiously, full of praise and love for the motherland. The song "Defend the Yellow River" sung by the boys' company, magnificent and vigorous, showed indomitable spirit that was beyond words. The two songs were unanimously praised by the leaders of the military training regiment and the judges.
At about 10: 00 a.m. on October 15, LI Xiaobing, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the school, led the comrades who are responsible for student affairs in each department of the Party Committee and the teachers who are in charge of the student affairs of each department to Shunyi student military training base to pay a cordial visit to all the teachers and students of the 2018 student military training regiment of our school. Our school attached great importance to the students' military training. Teachers QI Shufeng and PENG Ruike came to pay their cordial visit to the freshmen. Later, the consolation team came to the training ground to watch the second drill of the military training regiment. The freshmen in our school had a neat pace and strong slogan, which showed the training results and the elegant demeanour of the Law School students. The 9th company where our girl students in our college were located won the second place.
After the meeting, the participating teachers and students gathered based on departments. On behalf of the school, Teacher QI Shufeng expressed his sincere concerns to the teachers and students participating in the training and brought a wealth of materials to encourage the teachers and students of the military training regiment. Under the leadership of the leading teacher, Teacher MA Liya, a group birthday party, unforgettable and meaningful, was held for 14 students in our school who had their birthdays during the military training. Finally 119 freshmen took photos with their teachers in the playground.
Next, the teachers and students participating in the training in our school will continue to complete all kinds of training with good quality and quantity according to the requirements of the university and the school. They will give full play to their strengths and actively participate in various arts and sports activities such as essay competition, military games and so on to show the elegant demeanour of the freshmen in our school.
